The components of this deluxe version are very high quality, and the additional cards look like a lot of fun. I got the deluxe edition and it's missing all of the deluxe components, 2 bags, and all the player screens.

Each turn, the player uses one card to either evolve an extant species, to create a new one, or to migrate fish from one ocean box to another. so it's not as simple as other family games , but I would not say this is a challenging game to learn.Feeding may trigger a gains icon on another species, including a species belonging to another player.

Our player community is more focused on finding matches through Discord, and we encourage you to join our channel to meet up with others.Enter a vast, underwater cosmos: a mysterious interconnected world of sharp teeth, glowing eyes, and black ink, where your survival depends on your ability to adapt to the unknown. Players must adapt their interconnected ecosystem to survive against the inevitable march of time (Aging), as well as a multitude of predators looking for food. After each feeding, resolve everything that was triggered from the feeding, then check for overpopulation.

Note: There are 3-4 extra acrylic fish of each color, so be sure to count them out the first time you play.

Oceans is a game that invites you into the deep, to guide the evolution of species, moulding filter feeders, scavengers, and predators into the best they can be. I could forgive this if the card quality was any good, but it is honestly some of the worst I’ve seen.If the Cambrian Explosion has not yet started, remove 1 population from each of your species and place it behind your player screen in your score pile.
