About this deal

The Sky Lite 2.0 is best compared to the likes of a lava lamp in terms of what it tries to achieve. If you're after a hypnotic journey through an imaginary nebula (or aurora?) — this star projector delivers. Beyond a few bright celestial objects, the rise of light pollution has made it difficult for most people to experience a genuinely starry night sky—and that’s where star projectors come in. If artificial lights have obscured your view of the Milky Way, these compact devices provide a fun and comfortable way to observe the cosmos. All you need is a dark room with a power outlet and you’re ready to bask in the wonders of the universe. Many also function as night lights or pattern projectors that can spruce up a room without the celestial theme. While nothing can replace the awe-inspiring feeling of seeing millions of stars in person, the best star projectors can still leave you transfixed. It comes with a really handy remote control that allows you to adjust settings from anywhere in the room, saving you having to get up out of your relaxation position. There is one rotation speed which is slow and soothing — there's a little bit of noise from the motor but nothing that would be distracting, and better than many models we've tested.

The Pococo Galaxy Projector is ultimately the same technology as the Orzorz Galaxy Lite mentioned above, but in a different body. Scroll up to the top of the list to read all of the functionality, it's all the same and even uses the same shape disks; it's just the shape and color of this model that makes it different. The built-in automatic timer is available here, too, so you can use this projector on many different occasions and do not worry about having to turn it off. It will switch off automatically after 1 hour or 2 hours of use.

ElecStars ES-012 is the most basic product here. Now, we are not saying that it is bad. Far from it, really. Just that there really isn't anything about it that makes the product stand out from the starlight projector crowd. Well, except for the price. Right now, it goes for 8 quid, a really attractive price for such a functional, fun, and lovely device. The game changer with this star projector is the Alexa and Google Assistant integration controls. It enables you to get creative with your bedtime stories. The Encalife Star Projector is voice command-activated for a handsfree experience. It means you can prompt Alexa to turn on the galaxy light as you tell amazing and spellbinding stories of deep space adventures to your children. Do you like the idea of using a star projector as you fall asleep but hate the idea of wasting power as you sleep? Most light projectors come with a timer setting that lets you set the timer for a specific amount of time. This can range from 15 minutes to several hours. As soon as it reaches that time limit, the projector will shut down. Some of the models suitable for parties and outdoor use have a timer of five hours or more, which help you can keep the party going all night long. Lighting Modes and Options The 2.0 version of this projector comes with the BlissLights smartphone app, connecting via Bluetooth. Using the app, you can select from seven effects modes, modify the projector's intensity, adjust laser brightness, and even set the rotation speed. Additionally, you can create your own custom color blend through the app. Just keep in mind that the stars will always appear either green or blue, depending on which model you get. The only downside with the Atmosphere Smart Galaxy Projector is that the nebulas and stars aren't scientifically accurate. Still, we enjoyed the experience so much that we didn't feel short-changed. We were especially happy with the option to adjust both the brightness and the projection speed, which makes it great for setting a calm environment to relax in, or an energetic party scene.

Something similar happens in AdS/CFT. On the CFT side, you can start with quantum subsystems—smaller subsets of the overall system you're describing—each with fields and particles, without any entanglement. In the equivalent AdS description, you'd have a system with no spacetime. Without spacetime, Einstein's general relativity isn't relevant, in much the same way that the equations of hydrodynamics don't apply to a gas of water molecules. But when the entanglement on the CFT side starts increasing, the entanglement entropy of the quantum subsystems begins to correspond to patches of spacetime that emerge in the AdS description. These patches are physically disconnected from each other. Going from patch A to patch B isn't possible without leaving both A and B; however, each individual patch can be described using general relativity. The Atmosphere Smart Galaxy Projector is incredibly user-friendly, allowing you to use voice control to change colors, adjust brightness and control the speed of the projections. You can also control it using the Smart App on your smartphone (available for Android and iOS). On the app, you'll see a color wheel with a broad spectrum of tones, ranging from cool blue to warm fiery red. However, in our testing, we found that while it's certainly impressive to offer 16.7 million different colors, it's unlikely you'll actually be able to distinguish them all with the naked eye. What we really like about this product are the power source options. You can use the USB cable and any device with a USB port as a constant source of power. Or you charge it up, plug it off, and rely on the built-in 1200 mAh rechargeable battery to deliver hours of entertainment in a remote manner. You won't have to waste money on batteries and, considering that the rechargeable one usually lasts for almost 15 hours, you'll be able to move the projector around the house without having to recharge it every couple of hours.Generally, cheap star projectors are novelties that emit a mix of colorful swirling LED lights and class 2 lasers, which are low-power visible lasers—the same type used in laser pointers. While most models aren’t scientifically accurate, they provide a fanciful escape and can offer a calming experience. However, if you’re serious about astronomy and willing to spend more, you can find a star projector that can turn your room into a personal planetarium. The spherical design means you have near 360-degree angling, and it comes with a 1.5 m cable, giving maximum positioning flexibility. This gives it a slight edge over the Encalife Atmosphere Smart Galaxy Smart Projector, which has similar specs but can only be used in four fixed positions. Though clearly not a scientific star projector, it would transform your gaming room, party atmosphere or sleeping environment. As the motor is very quiet — near silent, in fact, the motor noise won't be a distraction, allowing you to focus on the immersive and impressive light patterns. On top of the Bluetooth speaker, there is also in-built 'white noise' functionality, presumably to be used as a sleeping-aid first and foremost. There's a catalog of 19 different sounds from a cow moo-ing and a dog barking, to more sleep-appropriate 'watery noises,' piano tunes and 'standard' white noise. A quarter of a century ago a conjecture shook the world of theoretical physics. It had the aura of revelation. “At first, we had a magical statement ... almost out of nowhere,” says Mark Van Raamsdonk, a theoretical physicist at the University of British Columbia. The idea, put forth by Juan Maldacena of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, N.J., suggested something profound: that our universe could be a hologram. Much like a 3-D hologram emerges from the information encoded on a 2-D surface, our universe's 4-D spacetime could be a holographic projection of a lower-dimensional reality.
