About this deal

It is an ancient Mandalorian sword built by a Mandalorian Jedi known as Tarre Vizsla. He was the only Mandalorian who was a Jedi, and he created the Darksaber about 1000 years before the event of Luke Skywalker. Different from her yellow lightsaber, is Rey’s Jedi training saber she used in The Last Jedi. Instead of glowing bright yellow, this one is a deeper blue.

Star Wars: Are You Ready For The Mandalorians? by Goldman, Eric on IGN ( January 28, 2010) (archived from the original on June 7, 2017) As Moff Gideon had no doubts about his mission or his dedication to restoring the Empire, he had no trouble forging a connection with his blade. In addition to this, during the time that Gideon had control of the darksaber, he actually agreed to assume responsibility for ruling Mandalore. Even though he appeared to be a self-righteous as well as ambitious lump of bantha poodoo, his ultimate goal was for Mandalore to prosper under his rule. Learn even more about the history of the Darksaber in our Star Wars wiki guide! How Did Moff Gideon Get the Darksaber in The Mandalorian? Despite being superior to Din Djarin in terms of Darksaber mastery, he nevertheless managed to lose his worthy darksaber during their epic battle. During the second season of The Mandalorian, Din Djarin vanquished Moff Gideon in a fight, unknowingly claiming the Darksaber for himself. Darksaber – In The Hands Of Din DjarinDo you go horizontal or vertical? To display vertically you will need a special wall mount which includes a clip for the pole and a cup-like base to hold the lightsaber hilt. There are many available on the market, but I recommend one that has a clear base. By 21 BBY, the Darksaber was in the possession of Pre Vizsla, the leader of Death Watch and House Vizsla during the Clone Wars. He used the blade during his conflicts with the New Mandalorians, including his successful takeover of Mandalore. After the coup, renegade Sith Lord Maul killed Vizsla in a duel and took the Darksaber as his own, becoming the leader of Death Watch. However, Maul's old master, Darth Sidious, soon arrived on Mandalore to confront his former apprentice. Maul used the Darksaber to fight him but was ultimately bested in combat, taken prisoner and held at a Separatist prison, the Spire, on Stygeon Prime. Several years later, during the days of the Galactic Empire, Sabine Wren, a Mandalorian weapons expert, found the Darksaber on Dathomir. Sabine trained to use the saber under the tutelage of Ezra Bridger and later the Jedi Kanan Jarrus. When Sabine returned to Mandalore to help stop the Empire from killing all of the remaining Mandalorians, using a weapon she herself created, Sabine uses the Darksaber against the Imperial soldiers. Ready for a duel: The robust and durable polycarbonate blade withstands fierce duels with other sabers.Smooth Sweep: Saber makes realistic lightsaber sounds in response to movement. The latest soundboard offers precise and controlled saber movement sounds. We’ve had our sights set to bring this saber for a long, long time, and we’re beyond excited to finally make it available.

The Darksaber has all the functions of a lightsaber but has a unique badass appearance. It makes unique electrical sounds while dueling, giving the saber an upper hand over other lightsabers. Just like Ventress, Dooku’s hilt is curved as well. Although his hilt is of a slightly different style. The blade glows a similar bright red. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of The Book of Boba Fett to 9 ABY. As the events of The Mandalorian Season Three, which includes " Chapter 24: The Return," directly follow those of The Book of Boba Fett, the former must also take place around that year. After the Night of a Thousand Tears, the Empire desecrated Mandalore and Bo-Katan surrendered the Darksaber to Moff Gideon, hoping that the Empire would stop the Great Purge of Mandalore. However, the Empire continued with the Purge. She fled the planet, but continued to lead the Nite Owls and was intent on eventually reclaiming the Darksaber and Mandalore. By circa 9 ABY, after the fall of the Empire, Gideon still possessed the Darksaber, and was the leader of an Imperial remnant on the planet of Nevarro. During his rescue of the Force-sensitive foundling Grogu from Gideon, the Mandalorian Din Djarin won the Darksaber from Gideon in combat. He attempted to pass the Darksaber on to Bo-Katan, but she declined, knowing that being once more gifted the Darksaber would make her claim to the throne illegitimate. Later, Djarin was challenged for the right to wield the weapon by Paz Vizsla, a descendant of Tarre Vizsla, on Glavis Ringworld. Djarin won the fight but was formally expelled from the Children of the Watch following the duel. Djarin continued to wield the Darksaber as his own. There’s no way Moff Gideon ever took any instruction in its use; he may have tried to emulate Darth Vader, yet he was no match for Vader’s skill with the Force. It was clear that he had no understanding of lightsaber forms or even fundamental sequences, since he was helpless when defending himself with the Darksaber. This lightsaber is specifically designed after his appearance in Revenge of the Sith. It includes a special lightning effect that the other sabers do not. We all needed the lightsaber that Obi-Wan used in The Phantom Menace. The blade is a slightly lighter blue than the other blue sabers in the series. The fact that a lightsaber is unique to its wielder is something that runs deep in Star Wars lore, and while the experience of making your very own at Disney World sounds fantastic, it’s also a pricey affair. A much cheaper alternative is the Jedi Master Bladebuilders Lightsaber from Hasbro, a kit that lets you switch between several styles of hilt, blade, and angles to create a fully playable toy. While more lightsabers make vibrating sounds on clash, the Darksaber has more like an electrical buzzing sound that sounds cool and exceptional while dueling. We will learn more about the Darksaber in the next part of the Mandalorian series. The appearance of the Darksaber

You’re getting 80 LEDs for bright lighting, a real metal hilt, and the ability to switch between Battle FX for combat sounds and Molten FX to simulate you melting the environment with the blade when you press it against a surface, as seen when wielded by Kylo in the franchise. It’s still on the expensive side for a kids’ toy, and those small parts could go missing if they’re not looked after, but this is a breath of fresh air from the pop-up toys or solid blades often seen on the shelves. You can also use them with other lightsabers in the Bladebuilders range, giving you a spectrum of customization. Later, Kanan showed the saber to Fenn Rau, suspecting that the Mandalorian Protector knew something about it, as Sabine had refused to speak of the weapon since their return from Dathomir. Rau told Kanan the legend of the saber's creation, as well as how it was used to unite House Vizsla and, eventually, all of Mandalore. Rau and Hera Syndulla convinced a reluctant Sabine to learn how to use the saber so she could attempt to use it to unite Clan Wren and form an alliance with the rebellion. Sabine was willing to try, but was unsure she would be successful, due to her estranged relationship with her family. Kanan, Ezra, and Sabine traveled to a secluded location on the planet Atollon to train. Ezra taught Sabine the basic lightsaber forms using wooden training sabers, and after several days, Kanan allowed Sabine to wield the Darksaber. During the duel, Kanan was able to convince Sabine to talk about why she left Mandalore. Sabine revealed she left to fight the Empire and save her planet. She felt responsible for weapons the Empire used to enslave her people. In doing this, Sabine was able to process her emotions, which allowed her to decide that she was worthy of wielding the saber. [3] A surprise introduction in The Mandalorian, Clone Wars, and Rebels, the Darksaber is the only lightsaber wielded by someone other than the Jedi and Sith. You’re getting a selection of light and sound effects, which do a pretty good job at emulating the original iconic design, and of course, the style more closely resembles that of an actual ninjatō, the weapon of choice for Ninjas during Japan’s feudal era. These effects include ignition, clashing, wall-cutting, blaster deflection, dueling, and battle sequence sounds. You can also choose different modes to use the lightsaber in, whether you are dueling or battling. Another major upset occurred at the end of this week’s episode, “Guns for Hire,” that spells big movements for the future of Mandalore. Let’s talk about the mythosaur in the room.
